Video file size calculator
Estimate export size from duration, video bitrate and audio bitrate.
ESTIMATED FILE SIZE
Plan an export before you render
Enter duration in seconds and the average video and audio bitrates. The estimate combines both streams and divides bits by eight to get bytes.
Worked example
A 60-second video at 8 Mbps with 128 kbps audio has an estimated payload of 60 × (8,000,000 + 128,000) ÷ 8 = 60,960,000 bytes, or 60.96 MB.
Limits worth knowing
MB means 1,000,000 bytes; GiB means 1,073,741,824 bytes. This is a bitrate-based estimate, not a video compressor. Variable bitrate, container overhead, additional audio tracks and metadata can change actual size. It does not impose or claim current social platform upload limits.
Why is my exported file different?
Your encoder may use a variable average bitrate. Container overhead and extra tracks also affect the final file size.
